Help Us Prevent and Reverse Dietary & Lifestyle Related Diseases Worldwide Through Education and Awareness

WHY?

Why Does the Human Health Initiative Exist?

Someone once said that having the opportunity to lead a healthy life is a right, not a privilege. Right now, we are facing a global pandemic of preventable dietary and lifestyle-related diseases and millions of people's lives are crippled by preventable chronic diseases such as Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome, Cancer, Heart Disease, Obesity, and others. Despite billions of dollars spent on advanced technology and drugs, today 70% of deaths worldwide are due to preventable chronic diseases.

The Human Health Initiative's mission is "To Prevent and Reverse Dietary and Lifestyle-Related Diseases Worldwide Through Education and Awareness".

The Human Health Initiative exists to restore balance and give people back the knowledge they once had for millennia; how to live in harmony with the world and how to nourish their bodies with wholesome nutrient-rich foods.

The U.S. has more than 98,000 schools educating over 61 million students. Incredibly, health and physical education programs have all but disappeared from most public and private education systems throughout the U.S.

Within our schools, we have a unique opportunity to provide accurate, up-to-date human health education which will give future generations the opportunity to avoid most, if not all, forms of preventable chronic diseases.

The Human Health Initiative is a call to action joining the minds, hearts, and hands of thousands of innovators, educators, spokespersons, politicians, and more. Our collective goal is to transform the way that we educate those who will inherit the future by providing the youth with extensive knowledge around the biology of nutrition, the tools and rationales around regular physical activity, and the coping mechanisms for dealing with stress, anxiety, and depression.

"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all" - Aristotle
There will come a day when mindfulness and behavioral health will become as important as literacy in our schools. The Human Health Initiative is dedicated to making this happen.
"Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical exercise save it and preserve it." - Plato
Students in the U.S. sit, on average, up to 13 hours a day. It is vital to provide regular, daily movement in our classrooms as well as educate every young person about the life-long benefits of daily exercise. However, very few kids ever get that education.
"The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison." - Ann Wigmore
The Human Health Initiative is dedicated to developing and providing rich, hands-on, and up-to-date nutrition curriculum so that our youth has the knowledge to avoid all forms of preventable chronic diseases.
